Forum Title: Who has the best cabinet combo.
Lets lay this to rest. I personally use: Primer- Coverstain or bin (always looking for a great waterbased) Paint -pro classic, pro indutrial waterbased or aqua alkyd Paints depend on color desired as some bases are not deep enough for blacks, browns and what not. What is your go to system. Sent from my SM-T700 using Tapatalk

Ditto. The only problem I've been having lately is that the ProClassic is taking 3 coats for optimal coverage, sometimes a 4th coat if I'm painting oak. I do use 1-2-3 as a primer if I'm going to stink up the place. It is hit and miss. Sometimes I have great fear that it is not bonding even remotely close to how CoverStain does. I would try some other products if they were more readily available to me in my locale. One thing I try to do with customers wanting to paint beautiful oak cabinets........I beg, plead, blackmail them into NOT PAINTING over that beautiful wood. Today's Pinterest Generation wants it all white no matter how gorgeous the wood is.
